101 Things To Love About Yourself
Over the years, I’ve come to realize that loving myself is one of the hardest things I’ve ever set out to do. That’s pretty crazy when you think about it, right?
Why do we default to criticizing ourselves and to taking ourselves for granted when there are so many things to love about yourself?
This self-love journey hasn’t been easy. There have been so many times - even after doing all this work - that I’ve doubted my worth. One minor rejection or disappointment can set me back for days.
Self-love doesn’t mean you are immune to getting knocked down. It means that you hold yourself with care in those moments of sadness, validate your emotions, allow yourself to feel the feelings, and then have a toolkit you can count on to pull yourself out of the darkness.
One of the simplest but most effective tools I’ve found is to come up with a list of things I love about myself that I can reference whenever I am feeling down. It’s been so helpful, like having a secret stash of chocolate in your bag for life’s trying moments!
It took me months to get to a list of over 100 things. Praising myself feels awkward and forced, but it’s an exercise worth doing to prepare for those moments when you need it most. As I took the time to reflect on my life, my values, and my unique qualities, I began to appreciate myself in ways I never thought possible.
I am sharing my personal list with you below. I hope it inspires you to reflect on reasons to love yourself, to create a list of your own, and to embrace the incredible person that you are. So, what do you love about yourself?!

I hope my personal list of things I love about myself inspired you to come up with a list of your own! Discovering reasons to love yourself starts with looking at your inner strengths and the beauty you bring to the world. Here are some powerful questions to ask yourself as you identify reasons to embrace self-love:
Emotional Strength: How does me being in touch with my emotions help me connect more deeply with others?
Compassion and Forgiveness: How does my kind heart and my ability to forgive bring peace to my relationships?
Hard Work and Determination: How does my persistence in the face of adversity help me to achieve my goals?
Fun-Loving Nature: How do I bring joy and laughter to those around me and light up their lives?
Friendship and Loyalty: How have I been a dependable friend who supports and celebrates others?
